Shenique A. Moss is the passionate and driven founder and managing attorney of GenWe Law. With a focus on estate planning, elder law, and business law, Shenique understands the importance of building generational wealth and creating a lasting legacy for her clients. Her drive to help others comes from personal experience, having seen loved ones struggle without the necessary planning in place. This fuels her dedication to provide her clients with personalized and effective legal solutions that address their unique needs and concerns.
Shenique attended Wayne State University for her undergraduate studies in Political Science and International Studies. She obtained her Juris Doctor degree with Litigation Concentration and Masters of Law (LLM) in Taxation from Western Michigan University Thomas M. Cooley Law School. Shenique participated in several internships during her law school tenure, including the Sixty Plus, Inc. Estate Planning Clinic, the Oakland County Probate Court Clerk's Office, and the Internal Revenue Service Office of Chief Counsel- Detroit Office. Shenique also served as a teaching assistant for the Thomas M. Cooley Estate Planning Clinic.
After completing her LLM, Shenique gained extensive legal experience spending over eight years as an Assistant Attorney General in the Revenue & Collections, State Operations, and Finance Divisions of the Michigan Department of Attorney General. She then spent over two years as an Assistant Commission Counsel for Wayne County Commission before serving as Deputy Legal Counsel and Compliance Counsel for the Executive Office of Governor Gretchen Whitmer for almost three years. Most recently, Shenique served as the Director of Compliance for the Michigan Department of Civil Rights before deciding to pursue her dream of starting a law firm that helps individuals, families, and businesses garner generational wealth and protect their legacy.
When Shenique isn't practicing law, she enjoys spending time with her family, volunteering in the community, traveling (she has visited 36 states, 2 territories, and 45 countries on 6 continents), cooking and indulging her love for foreign cinema (think K-Dramas, Bollywood, Nollywood, and Turkish movies). With Shenique at the helm, you can trust that GenWe Law will provide you with the guidance and support you need to achieve your goals and secure a brighter future for generations to come.
